There has never been a better time to rethink our relationship to our shorelines. We are seeing one of the greatest migrations of all times towards coastal cities at precisely the moment we should consider retreat. 70% of the world’s coastlines are vulnerable to sea level rise. The Shore Line Project is a research-creation initiative was produced by Liz Miller and a team of collaborators including documentary makers, coders, biologists, artists, engineers, students, educators and more. Miller will guide the audience through a selection from 24 short films from nine countries and discuss how each represents a hopeful action and story by ordinary, world citizens to challenge boundaries and narratives in addressing climate-disasters.
The full interactive exhibit of The Shoreline Project, will be on display at the Festival Headquarters in Odd Fellows Hall, during the festival.
