Laboe Presents

LARRY LABOE PRESENTS ECLECTIC FILMS
“My passion is film and storytelling,” says Laboe. “And a big part of that is to share work by emerging filmmakers.”

As guest curator, Laboe has brought his filmmaking experience to highlight eclectic and lesser-known works of merit to Mendocino audiences. The three features he has brought to Mendocino are all by first-time filmmakers, whom he is eager to make household names for festival audiences. Read more about Larry Laboe and his curating process in our 2017 Press Release.

LARRY LABOE’S CHOICES:
“These are 3 very different cinema experiences,” says Laboe of his choices. “You have 3 very different films from 3 very different parts of the world, with different points of view and characters who come from very different backgrounds. I think it’s a great spectrum to digest.”Como-en-el-Cine

COMO EN EL CINE
After finding out that his girlfriend cheated on him under his own Star Wars bed sheets, Nico decides to reunite with his true love–the cinema. Read more.   Proudly Sponsored by The Color Mill.

BOBBY SANDS: 66 Days

Members Preview Event at the Little River Inn
On Wednesday, May 3rd, our members had an exclusive look at our 2017 program as we hosted our 2nd annual Members Preview in the Abalone Room at the Little River Inn. Our festival team presented the special programs with groupings of trailers of the 2017 Program, and our members learned more about this year’s official selections.

A wonderful assortment of wines from our local wineries was provided by Jon Cesano and the Anderson Valley Wine Growers Association, accompanied by a lovely spread of Artisan Cheese and Charcuterie.

Don’t Miss the Anderson Valley Pinot Festival, May 19 -21, 2017.

Check out the photos from the Members Preview event here.
