The Ballad of Fred Hersch profiles legendary jazz pianist, composer, and LGBT activist Fred Hersch, who narrowly survived an AIDS-related coma in 2008 before going on to win JJA Jazz Pianist of the Year in 2011 and 2016. Regarded as a musical genius whose unparalleled talent has redefined jazz, the witty and endearing Hersch was one of the first people to openly admit his HIV-positive status in the early 1990s. The film screens at The Sequoia Room following dinner.

Admission includes dinner, beer pairings, and the film screening. Read more.
