Mendocino Film Festival and Healdsburg Flix Mix Present 2016 Short Films Program:
ONLY HUMAN

HEALDSBURG, CA – On October 7 and 8, Healdsburg Flix Mix and the Mendocino Film Festival invite film- and art-lovers to a special screening of the 2016 Mendocino Film Festival Short Films Program at Paul Mahder Gallery in downtown Healdsburg. Featuring nine touching and funny short films on the triumphs and travails of being human, the Short Films Program includes two 2016 Oscar winners, Bear Story and Stutterer, and will kick off Healdsburg Flix Mix’s fall season.

Ahead of the screenings, which begin at 8:00 pm on both nights, the hosts will serve wine, cheese, and fresh fruit in the Moss Room, a new addition to the gallery, as guests mingle and enjoy the fantastic selection of artwork.

“We’re thrilled to return to Healdsburg,” says Michael Fox, executive director of the Mendocino Film Festival. “Our first screening in collaboration with Healdsburg Flix Mix was a huge success, and Jonathan Wind and his team have continued to improve upon what was already a great event.” His sentiments were echoed by Wind, founder and director of Healdsburg Flix Mix.

“Our inaugural program was incredibly popular — sold-out screenings both nights, lots of positive audience feedback — and it really inspired us to continue our work. We are excited to screen the 2016 Mendocino Film Festival Short Films Program as the opener to our fall season.”

One of the programmers will be present for a Q&A following the Friday screening; the organizers will be present on both evenings.
In addition to introducing North Bay film aficionados to Healdsburg Flix Mix and allowing them to sample some of the Mendocino Film Festival’s most popular selections ahead of the 12th Annual Mendocino Film Festival, the upcoming collaboration will showcase the power of independent film and the value of community events. Tickets are available online and at the door. For more information, visit healdsburgflixmix.com.
