June 3 Opening Night Film First Monday In May

Dress your best and prepare for a night of glamor, featuring guest of honor André Leon Talley, former American editor-at-large of Vogue, who will be in attendance at the Opening Night Screening of First Monday in May. Exclusive Member & Sponsor event.
Start Saturday morning right with a special Skunk Train trip, as Greg Schindel, the famous Train Singer, performs his favorite Johnny Cash songs for those aboard.
Following the screening of We’re Still Here, head to the Mendocino County Museum for a celebration of the Festival and of Mendocino’s rich Native American history. Rub shoulders with filmmakers and enjoy refreshments at this reception, included in the price of admission to the film and featuring wine from Barra and beer from North Coast Brewing Company.

On Sunday, begin the day with a special tour of Ridgewood Ranch and the film Ridgewood Ranch – Home of Seabiscuit. Then, enjoy a lunchtime barbecue with music and refreshments before trotting over to Noyo Theatre, where the afternoon’s film screenings commence with our Oscar-winning Short Films Program at 2:00 pm and culminate in Dark Horse at 4:00 pm, a special screening in partnership with Noyo Theatre. Race to the finish with this remarkable film, as we conclude another wonderful year in Willits with this heartwarming tale of a horse—and a town—that defy the odds and challenge years of tradition on the path to victory.
