Q&A after screening

In this sweet and poignant coming-of-age story, Anne (Dylan Gelula), a quiet and shy yearbook nerd, falls in love with Sasha (Brianna Hildrebrand), the star of the high school softball team – and Sasha seems to return her feelings. Anne shares her news with her best friend Clifton (Mateo Arias), who was hiding a secret of his own: he has always wanted more than friendship with Anne. In despair, he reacts to Anne’s revelation by trying to derail her budding romance with Sasha. As these young women navigate the tumultuous waters of growing up gay at an LA public high school, friendships falter, cracks begin to show in family relationships, and both Sasha and Anne have to decide whether to hide the truth or go public about who they are. Also features Cameron Esposito.
