“A ferociously well-made film right through to the bitter end.”

Benjamin Lee, The Guardian

Just one year after the election, the Egyptian military ousts President Mohamed Morsi. In this riveting drama, pro-army supporters, Muslim Brotherhood members, and innocent bystanders find themselves thrown together in uncomfortably close quarters when they are all detained in the same police van during the ensuing chaos. In spite of their differences, they must find a way to work together if they are to have any hope of surviving a rapidly deteriorating situation. Set immediately following the 2013 coup d’etat and taking place entirely within the confines of the police van, Clash offers a claustrophobic and tense portrait of a society in conflict. In Arabic with English subtitles.
